Who are We?

We are Neuroworks Chiropractic Clinic, and we are known as a “controller” of personal data, in accordance to the General Data Protection Regulations (2018) this privacy Policy outlines what we do with your personal data. You will find our contact details at the bottom of the page.

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their personal data is being used. We collect information from you when you fill out the contact form or enter information on our site to book an appointment.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?

When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number or other details to help you with your experience.

This website also uses cookies, cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website unless they specifically make an enquiry with us.

What personal information do we collect from patients?

We record and use the following categories of personal data which may include: name, date of birth, address, telephone numbers, email address, occupation and health data.

Legal basis for processing personal data

Patients: our lawful basis of processing this data is one of contract – meaning that we need to process the data in order to fulfill our contract of providing healthcare services to you and, for the health information, the provision of health-related services as a chiropractic clinic. In addition, we will only examine or treat you with your explicit consent. Any correspondence we have with you that is considered outside of the contract is only done with your consent.

Employees: again, our lawful basis for processing your data is one of contract, you will find more information on this in your employee handbook.

Users of our website: we will only be able to identify you if you provide us with personal data when you contact us or book online, by volunteering this information you consent to it being processed. If you do not become a patient of ours, the information you provide will be erased.

How do we use your information?

If you are a patient of ours, we use your information to fulfill the contract of us providing healthcare services to you. We may in the future send occasional emails (approximately 4 a year), informing you of things we think will be of interest to you, for example: opening hours, competitions).
Please note that you will be able to opt out at any time by clicking unsubscribe.

You can also opt in to having text/email appointment reminders. These are sent at 10:00am the day before your appointment.

Retaining Your Personal Data

Whilst you are patient of ours we will continue to store and use your personal data. We are required by law to keep your data for 7 years after the date of your last appointment (or until age 25 if the patient is a child, or until age 26 if ages 17 at date of last appointment).

If you contact us but do not become a patient of Neuroworks Chiropractic Clinic, your data will be erased within 3 months of your last contact with us.

Sharing Your Personal Data

Where third parties are used by us to store your personal data, we ensure they are compliant with the data protection law and any such data is not stored outside of the EU.

We only share your personal data such as health data with your explicit consent, where, for example we may need to contact your GP/ Consultant or other healthcare practitioner.

How do we protect your information?

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We use regular Malware Scanning.

Your personal data is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
